Ginetta Junior Championship Brands Hatch Indy 2014

Jack got his 2014 Championship campaign off to the best possible start at his home circuit, by claiming pole position for both races and following that up by winning both races and setting fatest lap in both - a great way to celebrate his newly announced support from Airwaves and the locally bases Motorbase Race Team.
Qualifying three tenths of a second clear of the pack for race 1 Jack was confident of a good result but was beaten away from the start by one of his rivals. However a well planned move under braking for Clearways at the end of the opening lap saw Jack take the lead. He rapidly extended that to over 2 secs by the end of lap 3 and then maintained that gap all the way to the chequered flag securing comfortable victory.
For race 2 his qualifying margin was four tenths, but again he was beaten away from the start. An incident behind the leaders at the start meant that the safety car was deployed and the field had to maintain positions for the first 4 laps. Once actual racing resumed on lap 5 Jack was soon pressing the leader and he duly moved ahead on lap 7 with another well executed move. His lead grew to 1 sec by the end of lap 10 and when the chequered flag was shown 4 laps later he was 3 secs clear as he rounded off a perfect weekend.
